Jasper County’s High Ground

Quick answer

Floor Shield Lowcountry installs polyaspartic concrete coatings in Ridgeland, SC, and across Jasper County, including garages, workshops, porches, patios, and commercial floors. Most homes are done in one day, and every floor carries a 15-year warranty.

Ridgeland is the county seat of Jasper County and sits on a sandy ridge that’s some of the highest ground around. It’s a small town with a lot of land around it, which means we see everything here: in-town homes with carports, country places with big workshops, and new houses near the interstate.

Folks in Ridgeland tend to use their garages and shops hard. Tractors, trucks, boats, deer season gear. A coated floor stands up to that and cleans up with a hose. We’ll come out, look at the slab, and give you a straight price.

Ridgeland Homes We Coat

Ridgeland’s homes are as varied as its land. Here’s what we see.

In Town

The older streets around Main Street and the courthouse, with single-story homes, carports, and slabs that have seen decades of use.

Country Properties

Homes on acreage with detached shops, pole barns, and equipment sheds. Big slabs that take real abuse.

Near I-95

Newer homes close to Exits 21 and 22, with clean slabs that are ready to protect.

Toward the Broad River

Ridgeland’s limits stretch east into Beaufort County toward the Broad River, where homes see more marsh humidity and salt air.

Ridgeland conditions

What Ridgeland Does to Concrete

Inland country is hard on concrete in its own ways.

Sand and Dirt

Sandy soil and dirt roads mean grit on every tire, grinding at bare floors.

Oil and Equipment

Trucks, tractors, and mowers drip. Bare concrete soaks it up for good.

Summer Heat

Inland heat is brutal on cheap coatings. Polyaspartic holds up to hot tires.

Life in Ridgeland

A Little Ridgeland History

Ridgeland started out as Gopher Hill, named in 1894 for the gopher tortoises that live in the area’s sandy soil. When the railroad station came, the name didn’t quite fit, and in 1902 the station’s ticket master renamed it Ridgeland, for the sandy ridge it sits on.

Today Ridgeland is the seat of Jasper County, with I-95 and US-17 running through and the Lowcountry’s farms, woods, and rivers all around it. It’s a small town where people still wave from the truck.

Ridgeland questions

Ridgeland Floor Coating FAQs

What Ridgeland homeowners ask us most. Call or text 843-288-9417.

Can you coat a large workshop or pole barn slab?

Yes. Big slabs take more prep and planning, and we'll go over the scope and timeline with you at the estimate.

Will the coating hold up to a tractor or a truck?

A properly prepped polyaspartic floor stands up to vehicle traffic. For heavy equipment, we'll recommend the right system and talk through any limits honestly.

Yes. Seamless kennel floors hose out easily and give odors nowhere to soak in.

Do you come out to Ridgeland for estimates?

Yes. Free on-site estimates in Ridgeland and across Jasper County.

How long does a garage take?

Most residential garages are done in one day. Walk on it in about 5 hours and drive on it in about 48 hours.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. Every floor carries a 15-year warranty on Floor Shield coatings made in the USA.
