From Carriage Houses to Warehouses
Quick answer
Floor Shield Lowcountry installs polyaspartic concrete coatings across Savannah, GA, including home garages, carriage houses, patios, and porches, plus commercial kitchens, grocery and retail floors, and warehouses. Most homes are done in one day, commercial work is scheduled around your hours, and every floor carries a 15-year warranty.
Savannah is two cities when it comes to concrete. One is the old city, with carriage houses on the lanes behind the squares and garages tucked behind 1920s homes in Ardsley Park. The other is the working city, with restaurants on River Street, grocery stores on the Southside, and warehouses stretching out toward the port.
We coat both. We’ve done commercial kitchens, grocery floors, and warehouse floors in Savannah, and we bring the same straight talk to a homeowner’s garage. We’ll come look, show you samples, and give you an all-in price.

Savannah’s neighborhoods each have their own kind of concrete.
The Historic District

Ardsley Park and Chatham Crescent
Early 20th-century homes with detached garages and back patios under big oaks. Expect older concrete, settling cracks, and leaf stains.
Isle of Hope
Waterfront homes on Bluff Drive and beyond, with salt air, humidity, and boat gear in every garage.
The Southside and Georgetown
Family neighborhoods with attached garages and patios, where floors take daily wear from cars, bikes, and kids.
What Savannah Does to Concrete
Savannah’s charm comes with heat and humidity that never really let up.
Heavy Humidity
Muggy summers keep shady slabs damp, and moss and mildew follow.
Spanish Moss and Oaks
The oaks drop leaves, moss, and acorns that stain bare concrete.
Heat and Storms
Hot tires in summer and tropical downpours test every floor.

A Little Savannah History
James Oglethorpe founded Savannah in 1733 and laid out the city on a grid of wards built around public squares. Twenty-two of those squares survive today, shaded by live oaks and Spanish moss, and they’re still the heart of the city.
Savannah was spared burning at the end of the Civil War when General Sherman presented it to President Lincoln as a Christmas gift in 1864. That’s a big reason the city looks the way it does. A century later, preservationists saved the old homes from the wrecking ball, and Savannah became one of the most-visited cities in the South.
